Jones Named Kelley Alumni Association 2015 Distinguished Entrepreneur
This past weekend, Seed Strategy Founder and CEO Susan Jones was honored as the 2015 Distinguished Entrepreneur by the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
At the annual Kelley Alumni Awards Gala, a grand event attended by esteemed alumni and board members, Jones was formally recognized for her outstanding accomplishment in establishing a successful and enduring business. This award is one of the two highest honors that the Kelley School bestows on its alumni.
“I never set out to be an entrepreneur. I just believed that there was a better way to help clients with the creative ideas that would grow their businesses,” said Jones during her acceptance speech. “So, much like in my favorite movie, Field of Dreams, I saw my vision and persevered in creating an innovation firm where the best strategists and creatives would want to work. I believed that once that was built, clients would come—and they did.”
Jones is a proud graduate of the Kelley School of Business, and currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council. She’s always been passionate about giving back to the prestigious business school and continually seeks opportunities to stay involved with students and faculty.
“Being named this year’s Distinguished Entrepreneur was such a terrific moment,” said Jones. “The Kelley School truly helped to shape the person I am today, so it’s a great honor to receive this recognition from my Kelley peers and mentors.”
Nominations for this prestigious honor are received from Kelley alumni and faculty members, with the aim to recognize outstanding alumni who have personified the values of the business school. The Kelley Alumni Association has been presenting awards each year since 1970, celebrating the school’s commitment to excellence in education and the development of business leaders.
