Previewing Seed’s Trip to Medtrade 2018
Hundreds of home medical equipment manufacturers and thousands of home medical equipment providers will be in Atlanta, Georgia for Medtrade 2018—the largest home medical equipment trade show and conference in the United States.
Seed’s Ralph Solarski is looking forward to being among those in attendance. We were fortunate enough to catch up with Ralph prior to his trip in order to get his thoughts about the conference.
So, what made you decide to attend Medtrade?
Medtrade is the largest home medical equipment trade show in the U.S. It’s an ideal show for anyone wanting to gain insight into the trends and innovations driving the fast-growing home health market. While Seed Strategy is known as a growth acceleration firm among leading CPG companies, most people aren’t as familiar with our expertise and experience in medical equipment, medical devices and, more broadly, life sciences. I’m looking forward to connecting with brand leaders at Medtrade who may not know us and sharing how we are uniquely positioned to help them advance their innovation and brand building efforts.
How will going to Medtrade benefit Seed and our clients?
As a firm that inspires clarity, our role is to help our clients establish a clearly defined approach to becoming—and remaining—the leader in their categories. Innovation is how we do that; it’s at the core of everything we do. In home health, product innovation (developing advantaged offerings that improve therapeutic outcomes and patients’ lives) begins with immersing in our clients’ world and understanding the emerging trends and category drivers. Medtrade is an outstanding event for us to stay current with developments, opportunities and challenges in the home medical equipment space.
What trends will you be tracking?
This is such an exciting space! The aging population, the push to shift patient care from clinical settings to home settings and technological advancements that improve outcomes and patients’ quality of life are driving innovation across many categories. Advances in powered wheelchairs, wireless and remote monitors, home IV equipment and home dialysis systems are just a few examples of the trending tech that I’m really excited to see.
What are you most looking forward to during your time at Medtrade
Meeting new people and seeing innovation in action. At shows like this, you meet a lot of great people and see a lot of new, cool stuff… it doesn’t get any better than that!
