Looking Ahead to Cherri’s EPIC Adventure
Seed’s Cherri Prince is heading to California for the EPIC International Summit—a unique and transformational conference tailored to professionals across a spectrum of industries who are looking to inspire and grow their creative leadership abilities.
Not only will she be an attendee, she has also been invited to speak about key insights from Seed’s SheQ™ Study.
We recently sat down with Cherri to get her thoughts about this exciting opportunity.
What’s most exciting about attending the EPIC International Summit?
Lots of things! First of all, I’m thrilled to have been invited to speak at such a great event. I’m also really excited about EPIC’s unique focus on stretching creativity and growing innovative thinking across multiple industries (versus taking a single industry focus). Not only that, there are going to be some really brilliant people there. The conference will bring together diverse thought-leading speakers like Walt Disney Imagineers, NASA scientists, serial tech entrepreneurs and award-winning directors, writers, actors and more.
Why is it important for Seed to be there?
A major focus of our work is to serve as catalysts that shift paradigms and challenge conventions in order to deliver innovative ideas that generate growth for our clients. This is what we define as “strategic creativity.” The EPIC International Summit is a great way to keep us connected with thought leaders in categories that stay on the forefront of creativity and innovation like entertainment and technology.
Which topics will get most of your time and attention?
A foundation to strategic creativity is solving the right challenge so I’m looking forward to mining fresh insights regarding methods for re-framing business, brand and people/consumer issues. Specific topics that got my attention include Gen Z in the Workplace; Music Innovation at UCLA’s Music Center; and the creation of the Star Wars projects at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. (Plus, the talented and charming Ewan McGregor is a panelist!)
Any last thoughts or other things you are looking forward to?
One of the unique aspects of the EPIC International Summit is its request that both speakers and attendees go “tech-free” for the duration of the conference. In fact, EPIC is an acronym with the “P” standing for “pause”—as in pausing from all of the 24/7 digital distraction. So, I’m looking forward to re-living the “good old” days of no-tech interactive sessions and (gasp!) human-to-human conversations! I am excited to spend a few days noticing the details that we all normally miss by staring at our phones.
Going to EPIC? Cherri would love to connect with you there. Feel free to email her or reach out via LinkedIn. And be sure to follow Seed Strategy on our LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages to learn more about Cherri’s time at the conference.
