Burke Builds Cincinnati HQ for Seed
Cincinnati, Ohio (April 20, 2018): For Seed Strategy, the concept of a “treehouse” has long represented a stage for the sort of boundless creativity, close collaboration and purposeful play that fires breakthrough innovation.
Today, that metaphor is coming to life in downtown Cincinnati, as Burke, Inc., Seed’s parent company, builds a modern treehouse-inspired home for the growth acceleration firm on its seven-acre campus.
“Seed was founded with the goal of providing a sanctuary for the creative spirit,” explained Susan Jones, Seed’s CEO and Founder. “The new building will embody that ideal, with spaces custom-suited to Seed’s personality, workflow and the unique needs of our clients.”

Digital renderings of the building’s design show the two-story, V-shaped structure extending its arms southeastward toward Burke’s LEED-certified headquarters. Tree-like pillars rise up from the foundation outside the all-glass first floor and fan out to support the glass-and-wood upper story.
Visitors will feel the building’s embrace as they walk toward the entrance, where a glass elevator awaits to take them skyward into a vibrant reception area outside a large ideation space flooded with natural light.
Inside, spacious walkways will flow past individual offices and into purpose-built workspaces, meeting rooms, and photo, video and sound studios, each designed with a distinct look and feel that fosters the essential give-and-take of idea development.
Designed in partnership with Hixson Architecture, the new headquarters will be located on the northwest corner of Burke’s campus, bordered by 9th Street to the north and I-75 to the west.
Turnbull-Wahlert has commenced construction of the 22,000-square-foot building, with an estimated completion date of autumn of 2018. Seed, currently headquartered in Crestview Hills, Kentucky, will settle into its new home shortly thereafter.
