Seed Works With BCBDD, Spreads Holiday Cheer
During this past holiday season, Seed Strategy had the honor of once again working with the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities (BCBDD) to bring holiday cheer to both a family and an individual in need.
Like the previous two years of the agency’s involvement, Seed provided an outpouring of gifts, food and monetary donations, as well as sharing several magical hours with the families in person.
“It is always such a blessing to have the ability to brighten a family’s holiday,” said Kate Mathers, a Strategist at Seed who organized the outreach effort. “It’s amazing to work with individuals who care so deeply about giving back to the community, and it’s even more wonderful to see the smiling faces of the families we connect with.”
Several Seed team members delivered the gifts and meals to the family and individual. During the time spent with the family, Kevin Namaky (Vice President, Strategy with a history of music education) spent time at the piano with the children, teaching them songs and singing along to some of their favorite tunes.
“I was so touched when one of the children asked if she could sing ‘Let It Go’ for me while we played piano,” said Namaky. “It was truly an amazing experience to spend time with the family and bring joy to their lives.”
